berlin postcard. i always forget what this structure is called, but i like it so much because i like the wim wenders movie “wings of desire” a lot. its a great movie. nick cave is in it, so is crime and the city solution. but this roundabout in berlin i like visiting because it takes me back to that movie. its also in the stay video, for u2, that wim wenders also did. such a good filmmaker. here’s a drawing i did inspired by this postcard and berlin. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_T06V15TmqUA/S7KVl_zWvdI/AAAAAAAAANQ/VRz2tEpuWuw/s1600/fasc.jpg
david lachapelle. got it in kansas at a weird record store place i dunno.
found this in france somewhere. anyone seen this movie? its not on netflix, but it looks like its got jane birkin in it and i suppose thats a winner
francis bacon thing i dunno. i drew that weird guy on the back.
kopf hoch. what does this mean? anyone? gerhard merz. don’t know his work, but the stuff i’ve searched out on the internet since finding this card i really enjoy. got it in switzerland few years back.
we were a handful postcard. exhibit card from a few years back of a colab show with dicky swift, syd, and quon & warko. thats a picturte of jonnie on the front. that was a really great night. derrick brown read and we had a good time. seems so long ago but it really wasn’t.
chuck close postcard i got at the walker in minnesota few years back right after we played the radio show thingy where garrison keillor does prairie home companion. (i think…, actually i think he does it from across the street but whatever, same thing). they had t shirts of the same chuck close image but no offense to the walker, it had a really cheesy logo on the back of the t shirt so i had to say no to that. but the postcard is sweet.
jean cocteau torn up postcard. i think i used half in a collage once and i shoulda kept it together. bummer in the summer
